CSX CEO removed amid activist pressure in wake of UP-NS merger

The move by CSX to relieve Joe Hinrichs of his duties comes after Ancora Holdings urged the railroad’s board of directors to seek a merger with BNSF Railway or Canadian Pacific Kansas City in response to the UP-NS deal.
