Z-bow CTV is Strategic Marine’s first delivery of 2026
Singapore-based shipbuilder Strategic Marine has made its first delivery of 2026. Delivered to Taiwan, it is the second of two 27-meter Z-bow crew transfer vessels (CTV) it completes a two-vessel program and strengthens the customer’s ongoing support for offshore wind operations in the region.
Purpose-built for offshore wind farm duties, the Z-bow CTV was developed in close collaboration with BMT and features advanced marine engineering to ensure reliable performance in demanding operating conditions. Equipped with controllable pitch propellers, bow thrusters, and an active fender system, the CTV offers enhanced maneuverability, operational efficiency, and safe personnel transfers.
Strategic Marine says that the handover of this second vessel reflects its consistent execution across multi-vessel construction programs and its ability to deliver specialized vessels that meet regional and operational requirements.
The delivery also marks the successful completion of a four-CTV building program signed with the customer back in second quarter 2024.
“The successful delivery of the second 27 meter Z-bow CTV to Taiwan marks another step forward in our collaboration with the customer,” said Strategic Marine CEO Chan Eng Yew. “These vessels highlight our focus on building dependable, high-performance solutions that support the continued expansion of offshore wind energy.”
