VIDEO: Giant hopper dredge Frederick Paup delivered
Seatrium reports that it has successfully delivered the dredge Frederick Paup to Manson Construction Co. Built at Seatrium’s Brownsville, Texas, yard, the Jones Act-compliant vessel is the largest self-propelled hopper dredge in U.S. history.
The Frederick Paup sets a new benchmark for the U.S. dredging industry with its exceptional capacity to dredge and redeposit dredged material at unprecedented rates.
The dredge was designed by Manson in collaboration with Hockema Whalen Myers Associates. Seatrium’s scope included hull fabrication, systems integration, commissioning, and vessel completion, while managing a highly intricate supply chain of components with precision and quality.
