The Indian Coast Guard has seized a record 5,500 kilograms of methamphetamine from a fishing boat near the Andaman and Nicobar Islands. This is believed to be the largest drug bust ever made by the Coast Guard.<\/p>\n

On November 24, a Coast Guard plane spotted a suspicious trawler, identified as Soe Wai Yan Htoo, about 150 km from Port Blair.<\/p>\n

The pilot reported the sighting and fast patrol boats were quickly sent to investigate. The boat was intercepted and towed to Port Blair for further inspection.<\/p>\n
