Duffy <\/a>today announced that the Maritime Administration (MARAD) has awarded $8.75 million in grants to revitalize U.S. shipyards and advance America\u2019s maritime dominance. The funding is part of the <a href=\"https:\/\/bit.ly\/3GB6dRz\">Small Shipyard Grant program<\/a>, which supports advanced training, workforce development, and new technologies that strengthen U.S. shipbuilding and repair capabilities.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cPresident Trump\u2019s plan to reclaim maritime dominance starts with rebuilding America\u2019s shipyards,\u201d said Secretary Duffy. \u201cThis program will help America to build big, beautiful ships again to counter Chinese competition and maintain freedom on the seas.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cUnleashing the full power of America\u2019s shipyards will boost our economic strength and national security,\u201d said Acting Maritime Administrator Sang Yi. \u201cThe Small Shipyard Grant program is revitalizing America\u2019s maritime industry by investing in businesses that spur innovation, improve productivity, and fuel job creation in communities around the country.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Since its inception in 2008, the Small Shipyard Grant program has awarded 382 grants totaling $320.5 million to qualified small shipyard facilities. 17 recipients in 12 states were awarded funds as part of this announcement.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"700\" height=\"541\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.marinelog.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/image_76287880321753103491839_1753103493017.jpg?resize=700%2C541&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"small shipyard grant ecipientsr\" class=\"wp-image-102065\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.marinelog.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/image_76287880321753103491839_1753103493017.jpg 700w, https:\/\/www.marinelog.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/image_76287880321753103491839_1753103493017-300x232.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 700px) 100vw, 700px\"><\/figure>\n<p>Below is the complete list of shipyard grant recipients in Fiscal Year 2025:<\/p>\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-alabama\">Alabama<\/h4>\n<p>Master Boat Builders of Bayou La B\u00e2tre, Ala., will receive $427,596.38 to support the procurement and integration of training equipment and technologies.<\/p>\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-alaska\">Alaska<\/h4>\n<p>Resolve Marine, Inc., of Dutch Harbor, Alaska, will receive $447,341.00 to support the purchase of a Caterpillar 980 Wheel Loader.<\/p>\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-california\">California<\/h4>\n<p>Marine Group Boat Works, LLC of Chula Vista, Calif., will receive $248,402.50 to support the purchase of a Flow Mach 500 Waterjet Metal Cutting Table.<\/p>\n<p>Bay Ship &amp; Yacht Co. of Alameda, Calif, will receive $388,777.00 to support the purchase of a CNC plasma arc and gas cutting equipment.<\/p>\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-florida\">Florida<\/h4>\n<p>Eastern Shipbuilding Group, Inc., of Panama City, Fla., will receive $93,537.75 to support the purchase of a 10-foot plate shear.<\/p>\n<p>St. Johns Ship Building, Inc., of Palatka, Fla., will receive $617,040.00 to support the purchase of a Grove GRT8100 110-ton rough terrain crane.<\/p>\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-kentucky\">Kentucky<\/h4>\n<p>JamesBuilt, LLC of Calvert City, Ky, will receive $599,130.00 to support the purchase of a 65-ton rough terrain crane.<\/p>\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-louisiana\">Louisiana<\/h4>\n<p>Breaux\u2019s Bay Craft, Inc., of New Iberia, La., will receive $817,150.00 to support the purchase of a 200-ton Marine Travelift.<\/p>\n<p>PAR61 Marine Repair of Port Allen, La., will receive $723,242.00 to support Travelift infrastructure improvements, three new power distribution panels, a Telehandler, and a Crane Apron.<\/p>\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-maryland\">Maryland<\/h4>\n<p>Chesapeake Shipbuilding Corp., of Salisbury, Md., will receive $817,150.00 to support the purchase of a 160-ton rough terrain mobile crane.<\/p>\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-pennsylvania\">Pennsylvania<\/h4>\n<p>Heartland Fabrication, LLC of Brownsville, Pa., will receive $588,092.00 to support the purchase of a Koike Aronson PlatePro XHD Model 3700 plasma cutting machine.<\/p>\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-rhode-island\">Rhode Island<\/h4>\n<p>J.
