Mercury Marine President, John Buelow, introduced the two new outboards to the North American press corps at an event held in Tampa Florida, on July 21, 2025.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOur relentless, continuous product development pace, continues,\u201d said Buelow, introducing the new V10s to some 20 marine journalists in attendance at the Westin Tampa Waterside.<\/p>\n<p>Boating deployed a team to sea trial the new V10 outboards aboard a variety of boats, and in a variety of configurations, provided by Mercury. A full report from that testing will appear soon.<\/p>\n<p>The new 425-hp V10 Verado is said to cost about\u00a0 $1,500 more than the V10 400. More specific pricing and specifications will be published in a follow-up report.<\/p>\n<p>The new Mercury outboard engines are available now, according to Mercury. The 5.7-liter V10 Verado line now consists of three models:\u00a0 350-. 400- and 425-hp outboard engines.<\/p>\n<p>Below is the official press release from Mercury Marine, containing key data points<\/p>\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\">\n<p>Mercury Marine, a division of Brunswick Corporation, today announced the latest expansion of its award-winning Verado outboard lineup with the introduction of the all-new V10 425hp Verado outboard and a performance enhanced version of the V10 350hp Verado outboard.<\/p>\n<p>Both models set new benchmarks for performance in the high-horsepower outboard segment, delivering exceptional power, acceleration, and fuel efficiency while continuing Mercury\u2019s legacy for smoothness and quiet operation.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThese new V10 Verado engines reflect our commitment to giving boaters exactly what they\u2019ve asked for: greater performance with the same smooth, refined experience they expect from Mercury,\u201d said John Buelow, Mercury Marine president. \u201cWith this launch, we\u2019re raising the bar in the high-horsepower category and reaffirming the Verado family\u2019s position as the pinnacle of premium outboard performance.\u201d<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">All-New V10 425hp Verado<\/h2>\n<p>The new 425hp model delivers class-leading acceleration and significant weight advantages compared to a 450hp competitor.
