The initiative supports 119 groups across 39 states, expanding nationwide access to life-saving equipment for boaters.<\/p>\n<p>Of the recipient organizations, 71 will establish brand-new life jacket loaner stations, while 48 will use the new life jackets to replenish existing stations. The groups receiving the awards represent a wide range of community partners, including parks, marine businesses, health care organizations, and law enforcement agencies. Thirty-three of the awarded groups are new to the Sea Tow Foundation\u2019s program.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are thrilled to support these outstanding organizations as they work to make boating safer and more accessible in their communities,\u201d said Gail R. Kulp, Executive Director of the Sea Tow Foundation. \u201cBy expanding the Life Jacket Loaner Program, we\u2019re giving families and boaters the tools they need to make smart, safe decisions every time they\u2019re on the water.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The Life Jacket Loaner Program was launched in 2008 and is funded by a grant from the Sport Fish Restoration and Boating Trust Fund, administered by the U.S. Coast Guard.
