So when the opportunity arose to test the ugo MESSENGER bag, I took the opportunity to use it on my next few tests. It kept my gear dry and secure while taking the inevitable splashes and bangs that come with the territory.

The ugo MESSENGER bag is fully-waterproof to IP69 specifications, which means it is both dustproof and waterproof to one-meter depths for at least a 30-minute duration. What sets the ugo MESSENGER apart from other bags is that it is designed to float, so if you drop it in the water, the precious cargo you are trying to protect won’t sink like a stone to the depths.

Made from 600D nylon TPU, the rugged bag withstands bumps and scrapes and the YKK zipper keeps a watertight seal when fully closed. With the included shoulder strap, it makes for a great briefcase in my line of work, although my only nitpick is the strap can be a little difficult to remove and reattach. But for keeping your stuff dry, the ugo more than does the trick.

$350, ugowear.com

The post We Test: ugo MESSENGER Bag appeared first on Boating Mag.

Pete McDonald

Go to boatingmag

We Test: ugo MESSENGER Bag The ugo MESSENGER bag is waterproof, and it floats.
