{"id":15440,"date":"2025-08-21T20:08:01","date_gmt":"2025-08-21T20:08:01","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/krogragg.com\/?p=15440"},"modified":"2025-08-21T20:08:01","modified_gmt":"2025-08-21T20:08:01","slug":"seaward-services-seaward-endeavor-now-available-for-operations-in-international-waters","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/krogragg.com\/?p=15440","title":{"rendered":"Seaward Services\u2019  Seaward Endeavor now available for operations in international waters"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>    Seaward Services\u2019  Seaward Endeavor now available for operations in international waters<br \/>\n \t<BR><br \/>\n<BR><\/BR><br \/>\n    <!-- no image --><br \/>\n \t<BR><br \/>\n<BR><\/BR><\/p>\n<div>\n<p>Hornblower Group member <a href=\"https:\/\/www.seawardservices.com\/\">Seaward Services Inc<\/a>. reports that its multi-purpose offshore supply vessel M\/V <em>Seaward Endeavor<\/em> is now available for extended international operations following its approval by the United States Coast Guard for expanded authority to operate in international waters.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed alignleft is-type-wp-embed is-provider-marine-log wp-block-embed-marine-log\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<blockquote class=\"wp-embedded-content\" data-secret=\"oifCtQpcvh\"><p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.marinelog.com\/news\/hornblower-to-offer-former-spill-response-vessels-for-new-roles\/\">Hornblower to offer former spill response vessels for new roles<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" class=\"wp-embedded-content\" sandbox=\"allow-scripts\" security=\"restricted\" title=\"\u201cHornblower to offer former spill response vessels for new roles\u201d \u2014 Marine Log\" src=\"https:\/\/www.marinelog.com\/news\/hornblower-to-offer-former-spill-response-vessels-for-new-roles\/embed\/#?secret=iNr8wLCwl5#?secret=oifCtQpcvh\" data-secret=\"oifCtQpcvh\" width=\"600\" height=\"338\" frameborder=\"0\" marginwidth=\"0\" marginheight=\"0\" scrolling=\"no\"><\/iframe>\n<\/div>\n<\/figure>\n<p>The <em>Seaward Endeavor<\/em> and its sister ship, <em>Seaward Explore<\/em>r ,(previously the <em>California Responder<\/em> and <em>Pacific Responder<\/em>) were acquired by the Hornblower Group in 2022 (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.marinelog.com\/news\/hornblower-to-offer-former-spill-response-vessels-for-new-roles\/\">see earlier story<\/a>) and were converted from oil spill response vessels to serve as industry-leading multi-purpose offshore vessels.<\/p>\n<p>The vessels were built at the VT Halter Marine shipyard and delivered in 1992 and 1993 respectively to the Marine Spill Response Company (MSRC)<\/p>\n<p>Measuring in at 208 feet LOA, the vessels\u2019 unique specifications allow them to provide niche maritime support to a variety of operations, including both long-haul operations and short-term, near coastal charters.<\/p>\n<p>The <em>Seaward Endeavor <\/em>is currently stationed on the U.S. East Coast, the Seaward Endeavor is now positioned to support operations beyond domestic waters, including in Bermuda, the Caribbean, Central America, and other international regions.<\/p>\n<p>With this expanded capability and international waters authorization, the <em>Seaward Endeavor<\/em>, which is currently available for charter, can now offer her full-suite of services\u2014AUV\/UUV launch and recovery, survey operations, and logistics support\u2014for domestic and international clients around the globe.<\/p>\n<p>The <em>Seaward Explorer i<\/em>s currently undergoing the same approval process and is expected to be available for international support in the greater Pacific later this summer.<\/p>\n<p>Each vessel is equipped with two 20-ton cranes fore and aft that allow the ship to retrieve, deploy, and hoist with flexibility in a variety of settings. Plus, two RHIB davits mean they can quickly, safely, and easily deploy and recover the ship\u2019s small boats or another support vessel of the charterer\u2019s choosing. Additionally, the <em>Seaward Explorer <\/em>is equipped with a 20-ton A-frame for enhanced over-the-side capabilities.
