A Russian tanker carrying liquefied natural gas (LNG) from the sanctioned Arctic LNG 2 project has departed a Chinese port, according to ship-tracking data.<\/p>\n

The tanker, named Voskhod, left its anchorage at an LNG terminal in Tieshan, located in China\u2019s southwestern Guangxi region, and was heading southwards on Sunday, LSEG data showed.<\/p>\n

The vessel carried 150,000 cubic meters of LNG, which was loaded at the Arctic LNG 2 facility in Gydan, northern Siberia, on July 19.<\/p>\n

This shipment is the second cargo from the sanctioned Arctic LNG 2 project to reach China, following the tanker Arctic Mulan docked at the Beihai LNG terminal in late August.<\/p>\n

The delivery by Arctic Mulan marked the first shipment from the project to reach an end-user since production began last year. It remains unclear whether the LNG on board the Voskhod was offloaded at Tieshan port.<\/p>\n
