Full story: <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/ilsn1XbaEl\">https:\/\/t.co\/ilsn1XbaEl<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/jgL868EKIX\">pic.twitter.com\/jgL868EKIX<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 KTLA (@KTLA) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/KTLA\/status\/1965497494856671415?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">September 9, 2025<\/a>\n<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script>\n<\/div>\n<\/figure>\n<p>Representatives from the U.S. Coast Guard, Long Beach Fire Department, Long Police Department, Port of Long Beach, Army Corps of Engineers and other commercial representatives have been responding to the incident.<\/p>\n<p>A smaller <a href=\"https:\/\/www.marinelog.com\/legal\/environment\/stax-engineering-wins-five-year-tanker-emissions-capture-contract\/\">emissions-capturing clean air barge<\/a> was connected to the Mississippi at the time of the accident and was damaged by several fallen containers.<\/p>\n<p>No injuries have been reported. No other terminals or port operations have been impacted.<\/p>\n<p>Cargo operations have been temporarily suspended at Pier G, as operations continue to ensure the safety of dockworkers and other port personnel.<\/p>\n<p>Unified Command agencies have dispatched numerous vessels and aircraft to assess the situation and provide assistance.<\/p>\n<p>The Coast Guard established a safety zone 500 yards around the<em> Mississippi<\/em> and is issuing marine safety broadcasts every hour to alert other vessels of the navigation and safety hazards.
