People can book tickets for a journey onboard Disney\u2019s biggest cruise ship, and the first to be based in Asia from December 10, 2024, a year before its maiden voyage from Singapore. However, cruise royalty members were given early access to the bookings which started earlier this week.<\/p>\n

Disney seeks to benefit from the growing cruise tourism in Singapore to cement its place in the Asian cruise tourism market.<\/p>\n

The Cruise Ship would be a game-changer and each aspect of it has been crafted carefully and meticulously, per Sarah Fox, Disney Cruise Line\u2019s Regional General Manager for South-East Asia.<\/p>\n

Singapore also hopes that this new Disney attraction will attract people from around the world to the country and drive its tourism industry, which greatly suffered during the COVID-19 pandemic.<\/p>\n

The Cruise Ship Disney Adventure will sail from Singapore on December 15, 2025. It can accommodate 6700 passengers and has a gross tonnage of 208,000. It is 44% bigger than Disney Treasure which will begin operations this month in the United States.<\/p>\n

Disney Adventure will be homeported in Singapore for 5 years which is expected to attract millions of local and international tourists during that period. Last year, the country welcomed 2 million cruise ship passengers, of which almost half were from other countries.<\/p>\n

The popularity of cruise tourism has been soaring in Singapore and traffic to the booking platform\u2019s page rose over 50% when the prices were revealed and names on the waiting list rose 60% in November than October.<\/p>\n

Disney plans to increase its reach by spending more on its parks and cruise ships in the coming decade as global tourism is witnessing a rise after COVID-19. It plans to expand its fleet of 5 cruise ships to 13 by 2031.<\/p>\n

Disney Adventure was not built by the company, like its other ships and was acquired for 40 million euros from Genting Hong Kong after it filed for bankruptcy in 2022.<\/p>\n

It was constructed in Germany and has 7 themed areas based on Marvel, Disney and Pixar movies. The ship features exciting and never-seen-before rides, shops and restaurants.<\/p>\n

Though Mickey Mouse remains everyone\u2019s favourite, there is a craze for Marvel heroes like Spider-Man and Iron Man in Asia which is why the ship\u2019s upper deck features a Marvel theme with 3 attractions.<\/p>\n

There is a 250 m Iron Man-themed rollercoaster, the first on a Disney cruise and the world\u2019s longest on a cruise ship. A stage show with Marvel heroes and villains will also be added.<\/p>\n

Dining on the ship will focus on Asian cuisines from Indian to Japanese.<\/p>\n

Guests can choose 3 to 5-night trips, that cost from U.S $ 1564 for 2 adults on the maiden journey. A 3-night cruise for a family of 4 in a room with a view of the ocean would cost the U.S $ 3400. There are 2 frozen-themed suites as well.<\/p>\n
