The Coast Guard yesterday released additional guidance regarding BRP\u2019s Sea-Doo Switch. The pontoons have been under recall since February and have been involved in multiple capsizings that resulted in fatalities.<\/p>\n

\u201cThese capsizings have occurred when the vessel was operated with trim by the bow and the bow \u2018digging into\u2019 the water. Weather conditions and poor seamanship do not appear to be significant contributing factors,\u201d the Coast Guard said in a statement<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The recall action includes partial sealant application to specific sections of the hull, additional product warning labels and an addendum to the operator\u2019s guide.<\/p>\n
