Fairbanks Morse Defense (FMD<\/a>), a portfolio company of Arcline Investment Management, has entered into an agreement with Birmingham, U.K.-headquartered IMI plc, to acquire its Truflo Marine business <\/a>whose solutions include high integrity valves, actuators, and pressure reducing stations for submarines and surface vessels. .<\/p>\n FMD says that the strategic acquisition significantly enhances its valve design, engineering, and manufacturing capabilities and strengthens its ability to support allied naval submarine and surface vessels around the world.<\/p>\n \u201cAdding Truflo Marine\u2019s advanced valve capabilities to our portfolio will allow us to bring the best solutions to our customers,\u201d said Steve Pykett, CEO of Fairbanks Morse Defense. \u201cTruflo Marine\u2019s suite of highly-engineered products, including their exceptional hull valves, perfectly complements our existing build-to-print capabilities.
