Crowley names Megan Davidson its new COO

Crowley<\/a> reports that Megan Davidson will succeed Ray Fitzgerald as its chief operating officer effective Jan. 1, 2026. The planned succession is designed to seamlessly advance operational excellence and the company\u2019s growth trajectory.<\/p>\n Fitzgerald has served as COO for more than five years. He will continue as an advisor to Crowley as he transitions to his anticipated retirement in 2026 after a four-decade career,<\/p>\n \u201cRay has been instrumental in shaping Crowley\u2019s success during a dynamic period of growth and evolution,\u201d Chairman and CEO Tom Crowley said. \u201cWith decades of experience in our industry, Ray\u2019s steadfast commitment to operational excellence and our people has set a strong foundation for our future as solutions provider in not just maritime, but in land and energy transportation sectors. We are grateful for his leadership and vision, and pleased that he will continue to serve as an advisor to the company.\u201d<\/p>\n Since being appointed Crowley\u2019s chief people officer in 202<\/a>1, says the company, Davidson has led the continuing evolution of the company\u2019s culture and has aligned talent strategies to business outcomes and built systems \u2013 clear goals, leadership standards and accountability \u2013 that help teams move faster and deliver results. In 2024, she also began leading functions over legal, risk, safety and environmental assurance as chief people and regulatory officer.<\/p>\n \u201cI am honored to lead the next steps at Crowley from the foundation Ray has created,\u201d Davidson said. \u201cMy focus has always been our people and empowering them to do their best work.
