Chornomorsk is one of the three major Black Sea ports in the Odesa region.<\/p>\n<p>The attack followed earlier warnings from Russia, which had threatened to cut Ukraine off from the sea. These threats were reportedly made in response to Ukraine\u2019s use of sea drones to target tankers heading to Russia to export oil without proper authorisation.<\/p>\n<p>After the strike on the Odesa port, Ukraine said it had carried out an attack on a Russian missile-carrying submarine.
