{"id":22713,"date":"2026-01-02T20:02:27","date_gmt":"2026-01-02T20:02:27","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/krogragg.com\/?p=22713"},"modified":"2026-01-02T20:02:27","modified_gmt":"2026-01-02T20:02:27","slug":"coast-guard-rescues-two-aliens-who-jumped-from-barge-in-san-juan-harbor","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/krogragg.com\/?p=22713","title":{"rendered":"Coast Guard rescues two aliens who jumped from barge in San Juan Harbor"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>    Coast Guard rescues two aliens who jumped from barge in San Juan Harbor<br \/>\n \t<BR><br \/>\n<BR><\/BR><br \/>\n    <!-- no image --><br \/>\n \t<BR><br \/>\n<BR><\/BR><\/p>\n<div>\n<p>A Coast Guard Station San Juan boat crew rescued two aliens from the water this past Sunday, after they jumped from a barge that was transiting San Juan Harbor, Puerto Rico.<\/p>\n<p>The barge, the <em>Charlotte Bridge, <\/em>was being towed into San Juan Harbor by the tugboat,<em> Southern Dawn.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.marinelog.com\/inland-coastal\/coastal\/12-migrant-stowaways-interdicted-on-barge-headed-into-san-juan\/\">Coast Guard Sector San Juan r<\/a>eceived an initial notification from the crew of the <em>Southern Dawn,<\/em> who suspected at least two unauthorized individuals were hidden aboard the barge. In response, Coast Guard Station San Juan launched a small boat crew to prepare for the possibility that the individuals might enter the water..<\/p>\n<p>After they jumped from the barge, at approximately 10 a.m., both individuals were rescued from the water by a Coast Guard Station San Juan boat crew and brought safely to shore, where they were taken into custody by Customs and Border Protection Office of Field Operations personnel.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI cannot stress enough how dangerous it is for stowaways to board or jump from a moving barge,\u201d said Cmdr.
