The Indian Coast Guard intercepted a Pakistani fishing vessel with 9 crew in Indian waters, close to the International Maritime Boundary Line, per officials.<\/p>\n

They added that the vessel will be towed to Porbandar in the state of Gujarat for inspection and interrogation of the crew.<\/p>\n

Gujarat Defence PRO Wing Commander Abhishek Kumar Tiwari said in a post on X that in a night operation, an Indian Coast Guard ship was patrolling in the Arabian Sea when it sighted the Pakistani vessel in Indian waters on January 14, 2026.<\/p>\n

When they tried to stop the boat, it attempted to flee to Pakistani waters, he added.<\/p>\n

However, the Indian Coast Guard ship boarded it in Indian waters and took the 9 crew with them, along with the vessel, called Al-Madina.<\/p>\n

He also said that the operation highlights ICG\u2019s unwavering commitment to securing the country\u2019s maritime borders through relentless vigilance and law enforcement across the nation\u2019s waters.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
