The A2NCS supports three modes of operation:<\/p>\n<p><em>Remote-controlled mode,<\/em> where operators control the vessel from a distance.<\/p>\n<p><em>Autonomous waypoint navigation<\/em>, where the vessel navigates independently within a designated area.<\/p>\n<p><em>Fully autonomous mode,<\/em> where the software takes full control of navigation and mission execution.<\/p>\n<p>The software uses a network of sensors, including radar, AIS, EO\/IR sensors, INS, and GPS, along with electronic navigation charts (ENC), to monitor its surroundings and avoid obstacles.<\/p>\n<p>It also includes AI-driven situational awareness, cyber resilience, and fail-safe operational features.<\/p>\n<p>A2NCS recently received IRClass certification from the Indian Register of Shipping, making it the first indigenously developed USV software in India to be certified for quality and reliability.<\/p>\n<p>The certification followed extensive sea trials that tested compliance with international collision regulations (COLREGs) and the software\u2019s safety features.<\/p>\n<p>The development and deployment of A2NCS strengthens India\u2019s indigenous defence capabilities and supports the \u201cAtma Nirbhar Bharat\u201d initiative.<\/p>\n<p><em>Reference: BEL<\/em><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p> \t<BR><br \/>\n <BR><\/BR><br \/>\n    MI News Network<br \/>\n \t<BR><br \/>\n<BR><\/BR><br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/www.marineinsight.com\/shipping-news\/indian-navy-deploys-indigenous-autonomous-software-for-unmanned-combat-boats\/?utm_source=rss&#038;utm_medium=rss&#038;utm_campaign=indian-navy-deploys-indigenous-autonomous-software-for-unmanned-combat-boats\">Go to marine insight<\/a><br \/>\n \t<BR><br \/>\n <BR><\/BR><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Indian Navy Deploys Indigenous Autonomous Software For Unmanned Combat Boats Image Credits: BEL The Indian Navy has successfully developed and deployed an indigenous software that allows unmanned surface vessels to operate autonomously at sea.
