It is designed to carry the world\u2019s largest offshore structures across oceans and easily transfer them to Allseas\u2019 massive twin-hulled <em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.marinelog.com\/offshore\/oil-gas\/pioneering-spirit-sets-world-lifting-record\/Pioneering%20Spirit%20for%20installation.\">Pioneering Spiri<\/a>t <\/em>for installation.<\/p>\n<p>The <em>Grand Tour i<\/em>s designed to fit exactly inside the bow slot of Pioneering Spirit. This integration will streamline the offshore installation process, and offer clients a one-stop-shop for transport and installation of large structures fabricated far away from the installation location.<\/p>\n<p>The vessel will operate with four W\u00e4rtsil\u00e4 31 engines, each fitted with a W\u00e4rtsil\u00e4 NOx Reducer for emissions abatement.<\/p>\n<p>The future-proof W\u00e4rtsil\u00e4 31 engine was selected for the new vessel because of its modular design, which enables a significant reduction in maintenance requirements and costs, and its readiness to use alternative sustainable fuels.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis new HTV strengthens the flexibility of our fleet and how we deliver projects \u201d says Sytske de Groot, manager, naval architecture at Allseas. \u201cWe selected the W\u00e4rtsil\u00e4 31 engine for its high efficiency, future-ready design and ability to transition to low- and zero-carbon fuels, which supports both operational adaptability and our long-term sustainability ambitions.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe W\u00e4rtsil\u00e4 31 engine delivers what the industry needs today and prepares operators for tomorrow.
