Citing \u201cthe Iranian regime\u2019s brutal crackdown on peaceful protestors and its complete shutdown of internet access to conceal its abuses,\u201d against the Iranian people, the U.S. Department of the Treasury\u2019s Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC<\/a>) is increasing pressure on the regime\u2019s shadow fleet.<\/p>\n OFAC is targeting nine shadow fleet vessels and their respective owners or management firms that, it sa, have collectively transported hundreds of millions of dollars\u2019 worth of Iranian oil and petroleum products to foreign markets.<\/p>\n
