This allows the K7 to access shallower water, and captains don\u2019t have to worry about bending a prop or prop shaft. Another jet benefit is steering. The K7 maneuvers well at slow speeds, especially in\u00a0\u00adreverse.<\/p>\n<p>Where the K7 really shines, though, is in wakesurfing. By utilizing a single jet with a downward-angled pump, Kyma eliminated the rooster-tail wash issue that often plagues other water-jet-\u00adpowered wakeboats. Equipped with 3,000 pounds of onboard ballast, the Kyma can displace a lot of water with the push of a button. Usually, these automated tabs are used to keep the boat level while running (which they can do for the K7). Kyma and Seakeeper collaborated so that the tabs deploy to create a wakesurf wave.
