The incident occurred around 4:00 am local time, while the 5,200 dwt vessel, named Amnah, was being loaded with containers.<\/p>\n<p>The ship, which was operating under a Belize-registered company after transferring ownership from Russia\u2019s Fesco shipping company in October 2024, started listing heavily toward the <a class=\"wpil_keyword_link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.marineinsight.com\/naval-architecture\/dock-vs-pier-what-is-the-difference\/\" title=\"dock\" data-wpil-keyword-link=\"linked\" data-wpil-monitor-id=\"1661\">dock<\/a> during the loading operation.<\/p>\n<p>The vessel eventually tipped over onto its side.<\/p>\n<p>There were 15 crew members onboard when the incident occurred.
