Constructed from duplex stainless steel, the waterjets offer exceptional strength and corrosion resistance.<\/p>\n<p>The Horizon X design is hydrogen-ready, supporting Gotlandsbolaget\u2019s long-term ambition to transition to zero-emission operations. This forward-thinking approach positions the vessel as a pioneer in sustainable high-speed ferry travel.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFor this challenging and innovative project, we aim to elevate the building of high-speed craft to the next generation, where the vessel incorporates new developments that support cleaner maritime transport, with proven and reliable technology as the foundation,\u201d said Jonas Moberg, head of newbuildings at Gotlandsbolaget. \u201cThe new S160\u2011S4L waterjets with dual buckets provide not only efficient, powerful propulsion and manoeuvrability, but also the ability to reduce erosive effects in ports when docking sideways.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe S-4L series represents a major evolution in waterjet technology, designed to meet the needs of the next generation of high-speed ferries and naval craft,\u201d said Frederik Appel, director products, waterjet systems at Kongsberg Maritime. \u201cWe are proud to be part of a project that is advancing the energy transition in the ferry market.
