In A First, Ukraine Targets Russian Naval Base With Long-Range Drones In The Caspian Sea

Ukraine carried out a long-range drone attack on a Russian Naval base in Kaspiysk, Dagestan, causing damage to multiple ships in the Caspian Sea, as per Ukrainian military Intelligence sources.<\/p>\n

This is the first time Kyiv has ever attacked a target in the Caspian, about 1,500 kilometers (930 miles) from the frontline.<\/p>\n

Though the extent of the damage is still unknown, it is reported that missile ships from Russia\u2019s Caspian Flotilla, including Dagestan and Tatarstan, are among the impacted warships.<\/p>\n

Videos circulating on Ukrainian and Russian social media channels captured low-flying drones with explosions over Kaspiysk\u2019s port.<\/p>\n
