{"id":4485,"date":"2025-02-07T20:03:06","date_gmt":"2025-02-07T20:03:06","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/krogragg.com\/?p=4485"},"modified":"2025-02-07T20:03:06","modified_gmt":"2025-02-07T20:03:06","slug":"detyens-awarded-10-1m-contract-for-usns-cody-psa","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/krogragg.com\/?p=4485","title":{"rendered":"Detyens awarded $10.1M contract for USNS Cody PSA"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>    Detyens awarded $10.1M contract for USNS Cody PSA<br \/>\n \t<BR><br \/>\n<BR><\/BR><br \/>\n    <!-- no image --><br \/>\n \t<BR><br \/>\n<BR><\/BR><\/p>\n<div>\n<p>Detyens Shipyards Inc., Charleston, S.C., has been awarded a $10,135,702 firm-fixed-price contract (N3220525C4061) for a 100-calendar day shipyard availability for a<a href=\"https:\/\/www.navycommissionings.org\/ShipbuildingMilestones.php\"> post-shakedown availability<\/a> (PSA) of the Military Sealift Command\u2019s expeditionary fast transport USNS <em>Cody<\/em> (T-EPF 14).<\/p>\n<p>The PSA contract includes a base period and five unexercised options for additional work and time, which, if exercised, would bring the cumulative value of this contract to $10,641,148.<\/p>\n<p>Formally handed over to the Navy by shipbuilder Austal USA in January of last year, <em>Cody<\/em> is the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.marinelog.com\/shipbuilding\/shipyards\/shipyard-news\/austal-usa-delivers-first-flight-ii-epf\/\">first EPF Flight II vessel <\/a>delivered by Austal. EPF Flight II vessels feature enhanced afloat medical capability and will provide critical combat care in austere and contested operating environments.<\/p>\n<p>Work will be performed in Charleston beginning April 1, 2025, and is expected to be completed by July 9, 2025.
