DP World Sokhna has handled Egypt\u2019s first export shipment of passenger vehicles from Ain Sokhna Port.<\/p>\n

The shipment, consisting of 498 locally assembled Nissan Sunny cars, was transported aboard the roll-on roll-off (ro-ro) vessel ULUSOY 5, which recently departed for Jebel Ali, Dubai.<\/p>\n

The vessel was handled under the agency of Khedivial Marine Agency Egypt (KMA). The company now plans to ship up to 10,000 vehicles in 2024, supporting the country\u2019s growing manufacturing industry and contributing to its economic growth.<\/p>\n

According to a senior DP World official, this first ro-ro shipment is a major step for Egypt\u2019s automotive sector, made possible through collaboration between DP World and Nissan Egypt.<\/p>\n

The official explained that by using DP World\u2019s advanced supply chain solutions, Egyptian manufacturers can now expand into global markets, ensuring long-term growth for the country\u2019s economy.<\/p>\n

DP World Sokhna offers a wide range of services that include container handling, bulk cargo, general cargo, project cargo, and passenger services.<\/p>\n

Additionally, DP World provides freight forwarding<\/a> and third-party logistics (3PL) solutions, allowing manufacturers like Nissan to access smooth, end-to-end transport services for their exports.<\/p>\n

Over the past two decades, DP World has invested over $1.3 billion in the modernisation of Ain Sokhna Port.<\/p>\n

Recent developments, like the expansion of freight forwarding offices, integrated 3PL services, and logistics parks, are enhancing supply chains in Egypt and making trade more efficient.<\/p>\n
