Scout\u2019s 261 XSS is a 26-foot crossover offshore\/bay boat that\u2019s as well-suited for bay-hopping as it is for afternoon sandbar gathering, family watersports outings and, of course, big-water or shallow-water fishing. Scout calls it a \u201cluxury bay\/offshore hybrid.\u201d With Mercury\u2019s 400 Verado V-10, it topped out at nearly 60 mph, planed in 7 seconds, and hit 30 mph in 11\u00a0seconds.
