World\u2019s First Hydrogen-Powered Superyacht Worth $645 Million Listed For Sale

Bill Gates might sell a $645 million superyacht, called Breakthrough or Project 821 to Canadian Billionaire Patrick Dovigi, per reports.<\/p>\n

The 390-foot superyacht was constructed by Dutch shipbuilding company Feadship in 2021 and was launched 3 years later.<\/p>\n

It is the first hydrogen-powered superyacht in the world and is equipped with two massive bedrooms, a helipad, a gymnasium, a spa and an infinity pool.<\/p>\n

Though neither Bill Gates nor Feadship confirmed the commissioning of the superyacht, it was widely reported that it belonged to the 13th richest person.<\/p>\n

Per sources, Bill Gates has never stepped foot on the superyacht and is seemingly ready to sell it, per Luxury Launches.<\/p>\n

CEO of Green For Life Environmental Patrick Dovigi is being linked to the purchase of the superyacht.<\/p>\n

Dovigi played minor leagues and eventually became the founder of Green For Life Environmental Inc. in 2007.<\/p>\n

The company became one of the most reputed waste management companies in North America, with a value of $18.62 billion as of April 2025, per Market Watch.<\/p>\n

Dovigi has an estimated net worth of about a billion dollars and is the 97th richest person in Canada.<\/p>\n

Jamie Edmiston, CEO of Edmiston, a superyacht brokerage and management company said that the superyacht is truly a game-changer, even calling it the most extraordinary one ever constructed till now.<\/p>\n

It has several outdoor lounges, a massive spiral staircase and an observation room. Breakthrough superyacht can reach a top speed of 17 knots and can even cross the Atlantic Ocean.<\/p>\n

This is not the first time that Dovigi might buy a yacht. He bought the AHPO, a 377-foot superyacht with 6 decks from billionaire Michael Lee-Chin in 2023 for a whopping 362 million dollars but will part with it after less than 2 years of owning it, per Luxury Launches.<\/p>\n

The superyacht is being listed for sale for $370 million by Edmiston and Moran Yacht & Ship.<\/p>\n

It was listed for sale soon after it was launched in 2024 for upwards of $600 million, per The Sun.<\/p>\n
